First Rough Idea

Here is my first rough idea on the issue of war and victims. I am trying to focus on the area that is often forgotten and that is how war can make the environment a victim.

I have looked at how bare trees can represent veins and blood. This I have tried to show in a typical war symbol. I have produced this to try and get my idea down so I know what it could look like, but I know it will need tweaking

Visually quite lovely.

I also really like the idea of wars environmental impact.

Can the idea be made more elegant in it's communication?

This is a fantastic idea Matt.
The red instantly strikes me as a bloody/dangerous colour. I love the idea of the trees as veins.

I would personally make the grenade rounder, and maybe bring along the indentations of the grenade to show that it is what it is. On first impressions, I actually thought it was a vase.
But otherwise, great idea, great personal response.

Thanks.

Very nice visual i like the idea of a bleeding!!
to me its looks more like a heart, which also would be a great visual maybe a grenade and a heart blended into one would work well together!

i'm a fan of red but personally i would scale the image down, change the background colour and spread the tree veins across the poster.
