Blue Planet/Update
Following on from my last design I decided to emphasise the melting of the snowcaps by showing the planet literally melting away.
I also wanted to add a 'heat source' to the backdrop which would represent the heating of the planet.
Do you think text is actually required and which background from these 3 do you prefer?

i think the first one looks the best, the dark background makes the earth stand out more. what is the noise on the background supposed to be? maybe you could have the slogan as 'the future's not orange, it's blue' instead, would make sense. the melting globe looks good.
I like the idea of the melting planet Dave, bit different :)
However, id say work on the background a little more and get rid of the lens flare effect.
