Really great idea Caroline!
It reminds me of the child abuse poster within my research, I forget who the artist is, but it's where people's hands are masked onto an image of a baby.
You've put your own take on it - and it works!
I like the teardrop. The only thing I would criticise is it's boldness - I think the colour needs to be more attractive, something that really wows people. Some red and some black I think are needed.
